Name: Bay Bridge Vineyards Merlot
Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Region: Livermore & Ripon, California
Country: USA
Year: So cheap it didn't even have year printed
Price: $3
Winery review: No winery literature printed on the label, this was a pretty barebones Merlot at a rock bottom sale price.
My review: Not bad. Fairly bland to my palate, however it was very smooth and had a nice aftertaste. I paired this with a nice dish of Sloppy Joes, made from a managers special deal meat that was about to expire so like the wine i got it at a rock bottom price, which is right up my alley. It complimented the ground beef mixed with sloppy joe sauce well. I would recommend this pairing to a friend. The wine however I would recommend if you are on a tight budget. I would probably spring for something with a little more...presence.
My Score: 6.2/10
