Winery review: This La Misión Chardonnay is very fruity and highlights notes of pear, white peach, and a hint of smoke which is very characteristic of some vines from the Maipo Valley. It is very fresh and round in the mouth and has developed aromas of toasted bread and butter.
My review: For me this one did not sit so great. The aroma caught me off guard with a pungent like smell. I gave it another chance with the taste but it was 0 for 2. I thought the taste was rather bitter rather than fruity. I think it might have been the mixture of smoke characteristics with fruit. Unfortunately this was a bust for me.
The Pairing: I did not pair this wine with any food
